The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) is one of the major Departments of Thiruvalluvar College of Engineering and Technology, Arunachal city, Ponnur hills, Vandavasi since its inception in 1998. The department is very active in teaching and research in the areas of Control, Power Electronics, Power Systems, Microelectronics and VLSI design, and Electronic Systems.
This department has a set of dedicated, talented, well qualified and experienced team as teaching faculty. All the faculty members are postgraduates with considerable research and academic experience. The department also has qualified and dedicated supporting staff for our laboratories for students.

Periodic industrial visits are arranged to various concerns together practical knowledge in various newly emerging areas. Inplant training and projects undergone by the students in various industries
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has over 7 laboratories including Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Control Systems, Circuit Theory, Electrical Engineering Practices, Electronic Devices and Circuits, Microprocessor and Micro controller, VLSI, Embedded etc. Modern computing facilities are available for students at the Power System simulation Laboratory.
Electrical Machines Lab: Lab equipped with a DC Motor, DC generators, Single phase transformers, three phase transformer, ACInduction Motors
Power Electronics Lab: Device characteristics (for SCR, MOSFET, TRIAC and IGBT) kit with built in power supply & meters, Single phase SCR based ½ controlled converter & fully controlled converter along with built-in / separate / firing circuit/ module and meter
Control Systems Lab: Lab equipped with a DC servo motors, AC servo motor, AC and DC position control kit. Stepping motor and microprocessor kit. System with MATLAB/ MATHCAD (or) other equivalent software Devices and Circuits Lab: Lab equipped with digital IC trainer kit, digital to analog converter and analog to digital converter kit Interface such as, A/D, D/A converter, OMA, PIC Serial, Interface, Temperatures controller, Stepper motor, Key board, Traffic light control kit.
